The seventh edition of the Starr Woman Project dubbed “The Story Telling Edition” will come off at the Swiss Spirit Alisa hotel on Friday November 10, 2017 at 6pm.

The “Starr Woman Project” an extension of ‘The Zone’ which commenced in April 2016 seeks to equip young women entrepreneurs with the relevant knowledge, skills and motivation to achieve their fullest potential as entrepreneurs after three successful life-coaching journeys from Accra to Kumasi and Takoradi on various topics such as ‘Becoming a Brand’, ‘Windows of Opportunity’ and ‘Financial Independence’.

It is back in Accra to end the year 2017 in grand style.

The Face of the Starr Woman Project and Radio Female Presenter of the Year, Anita Erskine told StarrFMonline.com that the ‘Story Telling Edition’ was adopted to allow participants come and hear what their example of a leading woman has had to do and how their leading woman had to overcome different kind of challenges and hurdles in order to succeed.

“We adopted the Story Telling idea because throughout 2017 we adopted the education and workshop style where participants analyse situations, look at case studies and interact with speakers, this time around we want participants to come and hear what their example of a leading woman has had to do, how their leading woman had to overcome different kind of challenges and hurdles in order to succeed”.

Anita added that the story telling edition will also pool women from different industries as well as the diplomatic corps.

“In the story telling edition we are pooling women from different industries such as government, technology, the diplomatic corps, from the world of entrepreneurhip. One thing we want to acknowledge is that no two stories are the same.

“Coming into 2017, the Starr Woman project adopted the workshop style of interacting with women and this was an opportunity for speakers from across industries to make presentations to participants on specific topics that we had given to them, the participants were able to analyse, look at certain case studies and interact with speakers. The workshop style also helped participants to have a feel of a classroom where participants and speakers are able to interact and look at realistic situations out of which participants are able to further and better absorb the lessons that were being taught,” the co-host of the Starr Drive noted.

Sponsors for the Accra edition include: Access ‘W’ Initiative, Marie Stopes International, Mutual Integrity and Webster University and powered by Starr 103.5FM, Live 91.9FM, GHONETV & Daily Heritage.
