With the viral single “Jejereje” already dominating airwaves and social media with 587K+ creations on TikTok, Grammy-nominated Ghanaian superstar and global icon Stonebwoy today released his highly anticipated sixth studio album UP & RUNNIN6, under Burniton Music Group in partnership with Warner Music Group’s ADA Worldwide.

The 13-track UP & RUNNIN6 album dives deep into themes of introspection, spirituality, romance, and empowerment, marking a new chapter in Stonebwoy’s evolution as an artist. The visuals for the lead single, “Memories,” produced by Dave Nunes (Asake’s “Happiness”) and featuring Dutch-Caribbean sensation Ir-Sais, exclusively premiered on Rolling Stone Africa earlier this week. The “Faded Pictures” (Case & Joe, 1999) sample drew its inspiration from nineties R&B as seen in the music video that was shot in Amsterdam and directed by Pepe Favela. It screams nostalgia. Fans can view the Memories video HERE.

Blending Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, Highlife, Amapiano, and R&B with his signature Afro-Caribbean sound, Stonebwoy continues to push boundaries, creating a vibrant tapestry that showcases his versatility and cements his status as a trailblazer in global music. As one of the key figures bridging African and Caribbean music cultures, his influence reaches far beyond borders. Earlier this year, CNN recognized him as one of their African Voices Changemakers, remarking:   “Very few have propelled Ghana’s dancehall movement to greater heights than Stonebwoy. He is not only one of the most renowned Reggae and dancehall artists across Africa – but he also commands the respect and admiration of Caribbean audiences.” – CNN, Lauren Lee

Speaking to GQ South Africa about the album, Stonebwoy noted:“I’m blending such diverse genres like Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, Highlife, Piano and R&B while maintaining my signature Afro-Caribbean flair. It’s very important and that has been the signature, which has actually given an identity to the combination of what can be, as someone who thrives to represent for the entirety of what we are.”- GQ South Africa

Grammy.com also shared: “Those perusing the history of Africa’s entanglement with Jamaican sound can anticipate frequent mention of Stonebwoy’s name. Throughout his career, the Ghanaian Afro-dancehall artist has connected sonic and cultural dots on a scale scarcely rivaled in Ghana’s music history.” – Grammy.com, Blossom Maduafokwa   And Rolling Stone Africa said of his lead single “Memories”: “Stonebwoy couldn’t be more direct on the song, with lines like: ‘You give me the energy, you be my life obsession/The way you move causing attention.’ Around him, the supple production by Dave Nunes gives way for his signature dancehall-fusion flow to mesh seamlessly with Ir Sais’ flare.” – Rolling Stone Africa, Ify Obi STREAM UP & RUNNIN6 NOW

From the resilient anthem “Psalm 23” to the high-octane dancehall hit “Jiggle & Whine” featuring Spice, the project blends personal reflection with infectious rhythms. Fans can also look forward to collaborations with artists like Chi Chi Ching, Kaylan Arnold, and Blvk H3ro on “Geography,”and fast-rising dancehall artist AMARIA BB on the summer banger “Fvck up Summer.”   Stonebwoy article proudly embraces his roots, reviving traditional highlife sounds on tracks like “Betta Tin” featuring Nigerian singer Duncan Mighty, The viral hit “JEJEREJE,” a nostalgic ode to Ghana’s rich culture featuring Ginton, masterfully blends street music with vibrant melodies and has garnered over 587K creations and 480M views on TikTok, gaining momentum within the global dance community. The track builds on the success of Ginton’s acoustic version, which went viral on social media and even caught the attention of the Champions League, who used the beat before Stonebwoy added his signature touch.

UP & RUNNIN6 also transports listeners to the rhythms of South Africa with the Amapiano standout “Shine” and features a brand new remix of the hit single “Overlord,” with Jahmiel, 10Tik, and Larrusso. This triumphant anthem amplifies Stonebwoy’s message of perseverance and victory. On one of his earlier singles “Pray for Me,” Stonebwoy encourages resilience while Wyclef Jean’s legendary storytelling pays homage to the rich history he witnessed firsthand in Ghana. Together, they deliver a powerful message of Pan-African unity and strength.

Several tracks from UP & RUNNIN6 have already dropped with captivating visuals including “Pray for Me,” “Ekebele,” “Your Body,” “Jejereje” and today’s drop “Memories.” UP & RUNNIN6 is a bold and unapologetic showcase of Stonebwoy’s ability to blend global musical influences with deep cultural roots – the project not only reflects his artistic evolution, but also his commitment to pushing the boundaries of global music.    UP & RUNNIN6 Tracklisting: Psalms 23  Memories* ft. Ir Sais {Watch}  Jejereje {Watch}  Betta Tin ft. Duncan Mighty  Your Body*  {Watch} Geography ft. TK Kayembe, Kaylan Arnold, Blvck H3ro, & Chi Chi Ching  Shine  Lovely Weather  Fvck up Summer ft. Amaria BB Jiggle & Whine ft. Spice Overlord ft. Jahmiel, 10Tik, Larruso   Ekebele* ft ODUMODUBLVK {Watch} Pray for Me* ft. Wyclef Jean  {Watch} *visuals out now  STREAM UP & RUNNIN6 NOW
