Former President John Mahama has lashed out at the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) over alleged “mass dismissal of workers” in the public sector.
There are speculations that hundreds of workers in the public sector, especially those who were employed during the era of Mahama are being shown the exit after the change of government.
Although government has denied the rumours, Mahama took to social media to register his reservations:
Bad precedents for our governance. Mass sacking of workers by the NPP govt unacceptable. #OneGhana #OnePeople

These workers are all citizens and like all Ghanaians have rights, which must be protected. #OneGhana #OnePeople

The ruling government is yet to react to Mahama’s grievances.
