First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama has urged the international community to unite in protecting children and creating conditions that allow them to flourish.
Speaking at a special prayer service for peace and children during the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday, September 22, Mrs. Mahama stressed the need for decisive leadership and collaboration in addressing the challenges facing vulnerable children worldwide.

“Through prayer and decisive leadership, we can create a world where every child is protected and empowered to achieve their full potential,” she said.

Offering a heartfelt prayer, the First Lady lifted needy and orphaned children in Ghana and across the globe into God’s care, asking for provision, guidance, and protection.

She also prayed for caregivers and advocates, urging blessings upon their work to support children.
Mrs. Mahama emphasized that every child deserves the opportunity to grow with dignity, access education, and experience the fullness of life free from fear and neglect.
