Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has stated that President Akufo-Addo has been the worst disaster Ghana has ever had.
He made these comments at a campaign rally at Tatali in the Tatali-Sanguli constituency during his tour of the Northern Region. He asserted that, in Akufo-Addo’s years, government institutions have fallen back and that Ghana needs a reset by the NDC.
He stated, “President Akufo-Addo has been the worst disaster Ghana has ever had. He created the impression that he was the kind of person Ghana needed, but unfortunately, he has been a disaster”.
“Every sector of the economy has gone backward, all institutions have gone backward, the trust in the judiciary has been the lowest in history. Trust in all institutions has gone back under his administration”, he further reiterated.
Mahama said, “We[NDC] are coming to reset this country. When you are using your phone and it freezes, what do you do? You reset it, how do you reset it, you restart it, and when you restart it, it starts working again”.
“Therefore, Ghana needs a restart. Ghana needs a reset. NDC will come and reset Ghana and create prosperity for all”, he concluded.
