Hon. Abdul Kabiru Tiah Mahama, Member of Parliament for Walewale Constituency, has stated that Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is no longer affiliated with the party, noting that he left in 2012.
He made the comments during an appearance on The Verdict with Isaac Addae on Starr 103.5 FM on Tuesday, January 13, 2025.
Hon. Mahama said Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, despite expressing support for the leadership of President Mahama, has not been an active member of the NPP for over a decade.
“He is not even a member of the NPP. He left the NPP since 2012,” he said, stressing that he was simply stating facts with respect and not seeking to ridicule the veteran politician.
He criticised individuals who remain involved in party matters despite no longer being active members. “Once your soul and spirit is no more with the NPP, the law of two feet applies: if you are neither contributing nor learning, take your two feet and move away,” Hon. Mahama said, adding that such people do not have the NPP in their blood, heart, or soul.
