WASK Group CEO Recognized for Transformative Social Initiatives at Global Entrepreneurs Awards

In a moment of prestige and recognition, Dr. Williams S.K. Anarfi, the visionary CEO of WASK Group, has been celebrated with the ‘Social Impact Award’ at the prestigious Global Entrepreneurs Awards. 

The event, held from Novemb er 22 – 24  in Akure, Nigeria attracted over 5,000 on-site participants and 20 million online viewers, with the aim of empowering and uplifting entrepreneurs across the world, was held under the theme “Beyond Borders: Poverty Eradication through Entrepreneurship.”

The ceremony was attended by Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the event’s Grand Matron, Mrs. Folorunso Alakija and other astute business personalities across the globe. The event featured panel discussions, workshops, and masterclasses from global experts who shared their insights about latest entrepreneurship strategies and practices.

Dr. Anarfi’s leadership at WASK Group has been transformative, blending entrepreneurial innovation with a deep commitment to community development. Through various initiatives under his stewardship, WASK Group has spearheaded impactful projects in education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods, positively affecting countless lives. His efforts align with global objectives for sustainable development and underscore the power of socially responsible business practices.

Accepting the award, Dr. Anarfi dedicated the accolade to his team and the communities they serve, saying:”This honor is a testament to what we can achieve when businesses prioritize humanity and purpose. At WASK Group, we believe in creating opportunities that empower and transform lives. This recognition strengthens our resolve to do even more.”

The Global Entrepreneurs Awards highlight individuals and organizations making significant contributions to their industries while driving positive change. Dr. Anarfi’s recognition reaffirms his status as a leader who not only excels in business but also champions social equity and progress.

With this accolade, Dr. Anarfi and WASK Group set a high standard for entrepreneurs worldwide, proving that meaningful change and business success can go hand in hand.

Dr. Anarfi’s portfolio of social impact projects includes programs that have provided scholarships for underprivileged students, established community health clinics, and created employment opportunities for thousands in rural Ghana. One of his flagship initiatives, a renewable energy project targeting off-grid villages, has been lauded for its role in improving living conditions while promoting sustainability.

He is the founder and president of the WASK Group, a consultancy agency that focuses on innovative business strategies and social entrepreneurship. His work has had a profound impact on thousands of lives, particularly through the Connect to Wealthcampaign, which aims to educate and empower individuals to create sustainable income streams. The initiative has successfully reached over 50,000 people across Africa, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to improve their financial situations.

In addition to his business achievements, Dr. Anarfi is deeply committed to philanthropy. He established the WASK Family Foundation, which focuses on alleviating poverty and fostering community development. Through this foundation, he has initiated programs that provide food, education, and healthcare support to underprivileged communities. Recently, his Connect to Wealth program fed over 5,000 people in need, showcasing his dedication to social responsibility.

Dr. Anarfi’s contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named the Best Global Business Growth Influencer at the World Changers’ Summit in Dubai in 2018. At the 2022 Asian-African Leadership Achievement Awards, Dr. Williams S.K. Anarfi, was awarded the prestigious Best Innovator of the Year. In July, 2023, the New Africa Leaders Summit and Honors certified him with the medal of honor for his steadfast dedication, exceptional skills and relentless pursuit of excellence in his respective field of operation.

He was adjudged the Most Notable Peace Icon and receiving the Innovator Award at KNUST in 2013. He was also inducted into the Ghana Corporate Hall of Fame, highlighting his influence and achievements in the corporate sector

He has directly inspired over 20,000 young people through mentorship programs and initiatives aimed at empowering youth across Africa. His efforts focus on fostering leadership skills and providing platforms for young entrepreneurs to thrive.

As CEO of the Trash Recycling and Management Organization (TRAMO), Dr. Anarfi has pioneered sustainable waste management practices in Ghana. This includes recycling plastics into roofing tiles and pavement blocks, as well as promoting biogas digesters, which contribute to environmental sustainability while creating jobs.

His innovative ideas urged him to create WASK A. Limited where different portfolios are handled. Areas of services include importation and distribution ofAgriculture inputs like fertilizer.This was done through a Turkish partnership with Candem Gubri.He also specializes in food processing andpreservation (Value addition to tuber crops) to avoid wastage and support the country’s and by extension, the continent’s net exports of agricultural produce. The company also specializes in commodities such as cooking oil, sugar, rice among others.

Dr. Anarfi established the Spintex Medical Center, a state-of-the-art hospital in Accra, further demonstrating his commitment to improving healthcare access in Ghana. His initiatives in health services include promoting vaccinations and providing medical equipment, which are crucial for community health improvement.
