Ghana’s minister for Sports and Recreation designate, Kofi Adams, has expressed his optimism in reviving the fortunes of the Black Stars, Ghana’s senior national football team.
Kofi Adams’ remarks come at a time when the Black Stars are facing mounting challenges, including their recent failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team’s struggles have raised concerns with supporters and stakeholders, with calls for structural reforms and renewed focus on talent development.
Speaking passionately about his vision for the country’s sports sector, the member of Parliament for Buem, Kofi Adams, emphasized the importance of restoring the team to its former glory.
“We want to see our Black Stars rise again,” Adams declared on GHOne TV.
The Sports Minister designate also outlined his plans to prioritize grassroots football development.
“I believe in grassroots football.” he added.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play their next game in March against Chad and Madagascar in the World Cup qualifiers.
