The registration, according to the statement by West African Examination Council (WAEC) dated November 6, 2017 is scheduled to start from 13 November to 15 December, 2017.
“Please take note of the following issues: re-sitters are to register for the BECE for private candidates; the registration fee per candidate is GHS75 and applicable to candidate in private junior high schools. Government will absorb the registration fees for candidates in the public junior high schools,” notes the statement.
It continued: “Please ensure that the correct type of school (private or public) is indicated during the registration of the candidates as this has implication on payment of fees for the examination.
“Kindly provide the Council with a list of private and public junior high schools in your district to enable us validate input by the schools. The Council will nullify entries of private schools that select school type wrongly and thereby do not pay fees.”
