Staff of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission have vowed to stage a demonstration on Monday to protest their migration onto the single spine salary structure.
The staff of the commission are not happy with the little engagement leading to their migration unto the payment scheme.
The angry workers are demanding that management migrate them unto the single spine salary structure and institute proper conditions of service for them.
Clad in red bandanas the workers said they will escalate the action if they don’t hear from management by close of day.
A source told Starr Business’ Osei Owusu Amankwaah on Thursday that the current package which has been presented will make them worse off.
“We sit at the negotiation table for all professionals. We know what they are getting so why are we being given far less than what we give other professional. This package is soo not fair to us and management must respectfully take a second look at it” the source said.
The Managing Director of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Dr. Edward Kwarpong has told Starr Business the company’s board will be meeting over the disturbances.
