The Ghanaian who attempted to break the Guinness World Record (GWR), Afua Asantewaa Owusu has disclosed that robbers attacked her family before the Sing-A-Thon.
Speaking on GHOne TV with Lily Mohammed, Afua Asantewaa stated that the robbers were however not able to break into the house.
According to her, another incident at her family was on Wednesday to Sunday for her to start the Sing-A-Thon, the robbers had access to her home though they did not take anything but just ransacked her home.
“Let me use your platform to say that on Monday before the actual Sing-A-Thon we were attacked in the night by robbers in our house. But they couldn’t get in and I think the Wednesday before the Sunday. We had an attack again, when we got home they had broken into our home. We don’t know how they got in,” she disclosed.
According to her, the second incident forced her to move her family to a different location before the event.
“They just ransacked all our stuff, they didn’t take money, and they didn’t take anything. All they took was my husband’s deodorant and perfume. There were laptops, they were money and they didn’t take anything. They just came to mess the place up, that was the Wednesday before I started.
“So we have to leave home and go lodge at a hotel and all that, so after the Sing-A-Thon we could go home,” she narrated.
