In a recent statement, renowned entertainment pundit and artiste manager Lawrence Asiamah, popularly known as Bullgod, hailed Afro-Dancehall/Reggae artist Stonebwoy as Ghana’s leading music export. His remarks came during the album launch for Stonebwoy’s highly anticipated 6th studio project, Up & Running, which took place on Wednesday, October 24, 2024, at the luxurious Alora Beach Resort in Laboma Beach, Accra.
The album’s listening party attracted an array of prominent figures, including actress Nadia Buari, TV star Nana Ama McBrown, rapper Kwaw Kese, and music mogul D-Black, along with Bullgod, the former manager of fellow dancehall star Shatta Wale. Stonebwoy’s latest project, Up & Running, features the smash hit single “Jejereje,” which has already captured the attention of global audiences.
Bullgod, who once managed Shatta Wale, acknowledged that many Ghanaian artists are breaking ground internationally, but he singled out Stonebwoy as the nation’s current standout export. “These days, when we need to push our artists internationally, management needs clearance to make that happen. So far, he [Stonebwoy] is our biggest export,” Bullgod remarked, commending Stonebwoy’s consistency and impact on both local and international stages.
Stonebwoy’s latest album signals another milestone in his illustrious career, further cementing his place as one of Ghana’s most influential and globally recognized artists.
