The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has warned individuals involved in the alleged “criminal activities” of re-collating parliamentary results of facing legal charges after January 7, 2024.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Boamah stated that the NDC will drag the Electoral Commission Ghana to court to prevent any re-collation, re-counting, or re-declaration of parliamentary election results.
Dr. Boamah emphasised that every individual involved in this process will face the full force of the law after January 7. He criticised the Electoral Commission for refusing to cancel unused pink sheets and for using pen markers as indelible ink in some polling stations, despite promises to the contrary.
Dr. Boamah expressed the NDC’s frustration with the EC, stating, “We’ve come very far by sailing through the sharks and snakes streams of this Electoral Commission.”
He reiterated that Ghanaians sent a clear message in the December 7 election, strongly endorsing the NDC, and declared, “EC, from now on, not anymore!!!”
Dr. Boamah has also urged the public to keep a close watch on the EC and the NPP, adding, “The criminal Electoral Commission must explain what happened in Ablekuma North Constituency last night.”
