Nana Ama Agyemang of the EIB Network sports desk was honored over the weekend at the 2022 Women in Sports Association (WISA) Achievers Awards.
The event, which took place on Saturday, September 24, acknowledged the efforts of women for their contribution to the growth of sports in Ghana.
Nana Ama, who is widely known as ‘The Fifa Lady’, was among a number of women given honors for what they have done in the sports industry in the year under review.
Over the years, she has told the humanitarian stories of sports people and been the source of light for some of these people who have struggled to make the name for themselves in the sporting industry.
Nana Ama Agyemang’s passion for sports journalism has grown over the years and the recognition only comes as a motivation for the work she’s been doing over the years.
Reacting to being acknowledged, she said, “I thank the organizers of the WISA Achievers Awards and promise to give more than what I am doing now.”
Earlier this year, she was nominated for the Sports Journalist of the Year at the 2022 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards.
