Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has successfully hosted the final pitch of the 2025 AgriTech Challenge Pro, celebrating a remarkable display of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence aimed at transforming Ghana’s agricultural sector. Held from 22nd to 23rd May 2025 at the KNUST Business School in Kumasi, the event showcased cutting-edge agritech and food innovation solutions poised to address challenges in the sector and demonstrated great potential for job creation and employment opportunities for young people.

A total of 43 teams presented their business pitch decks to a panel of judges, also known as the Ideation Team, where they received constructive feedback. The participating teams delivered compelling pitches, demonstrating both the viability and impact potential of their business solutions. From tech-driven tools to sustainable farming initiatives, the range of ideas highlighted the creativity and determination of Ghana’s emerging entrepreneurs.

The winning teams will receive seed funding, mentorship opportunities, and access to KIC’s extensive network of partners as they progress to the KIC Business Incubation Program. These resources will enable them to further develop and implement groundbreaking ideas while growing and scaling up their businesses.

“This year’s AgriTech Challenge Pro has once again showcased the brilliance and resilience of Ghana’s youth. The innovative solutions presented today reaffirm the transformative power of agriculture and technology in driving economic growth and sustainability,” said Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of the Kosmos Innovation Center.

The winners of the 2025 AgriTech Challenge Pro are as follows:

  • PureLube won USD 25,000, while Ecobroma received USD 20,000.
  • The following start-ups won USD 10,000 each: Zenags Organics, Mushplus Agri-Foods, MelDak Agro, AgriEase, Fibrelux, Tomavi Wines, Congam Stainless Charcoal, Danny Machinery, EcoLeap, BioSpace Gh, and Earth-Allies.
  • Winners of USD 5,000 each include: Peanut Pride, Millbles, BIAQ Golden Cycle, Soyko Agro Foods, GardPath Technologies, Peli Natural Glow, MilkyWorld, Growth Line Farm-Tech, and Premium Biofert.

This program isn’t just about generating ideas—it’s about refining those ideas through the lenses of market research, industry knowledge, innovation, viability, scalability, and, above all, building enduring teams that can weather the storms and seize the opportunities ahead.

As Ghana continues to prioritize agriculture as a cornerstone of its economy, initiatives like the AgriTech Challenge Pro demonstrate the immense potential of youth-driven innovation in shaping a sustainable and prosperous future.
