The immediate past president of the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana School Of Law, Mr. Wonder Victor Juror, has been called to the Bar.
He was amongst the 196 graduates who were called to the Bar by the outgoing Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah at a ceremony this morning.
This morning’s ceremony brings to an end, controversies surrounding his call, having missed out last year which was due to his inability to complete his internship arising out of his studies at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida.
The mention of his name for the collection of his certificate was greeted with a resounding applause to the admiration of the audience.
In line with the procedures leading to the Call, the former SRC President went for an exit interview on April 28, 2023 and having passed was listed together with other graduates to be called.
Before the exit interview however, he completed his internship in January this year upon his return from his studies at the University of North Florida.
At the ceremony, Mr. Kutor received his certificate to practice as a lawyer from the outgoing Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah who retires on May 24 2023 with this call being the last he has performed.
Interestingly, this year’s call recorded two former presidents of the SRC of the Ghana School Of Law to have been called. Aside from Mr. Wonder Kutor was Mr. Philemon Laar who was the SRC president for the 2020 / 2021 academic year.
This year seems to have been eventful one for Mr. Kutor in view of the fact that he got married to another lawyer in February this year, a lady he met while studying at the Law School.
He currently serves on the National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress having been elected in the just ended Congress of the party on December 17, 2022.
His election as a NEC member has since seen him playing the role of a secretary of the Appeals Committee (Bono/Ahafo regions) of the Parliamentary primaries of the party which comes off on May 13, this year.
A former student of the Tema Day Secondary school, the 32 year old Mr. Kutor also attended the University of Ghana and continued at the University of London before enrolling at the Ghana School Of Law. He is currently a student of the University of North Florida.
