The Ghana Police Service has arrested one person in connection with a shooting incident at Bereku in the Central Region.
In a statement, the Police disclosed that the arrested was effected on Tuesday 3rd September 2024.
“The suspect, Nai Akwasi Lartey, who was wielding a pump action gun shot and injured one person during the Awubia Festival. The victim was sent to the hospital for medical attention,” the Police service narrated.
According to the Police, the pump action gun with some BB cartridges have been retrieved from the suspect.
“Suspect Nai Akwasi Lartey is in Police custody assisting the investigation”, the statement concluded.
