The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has announced the immediate suspension of the Central Management System (CMS) used by the National Service Authority (NSA) for processing postings.
The move follows a directive from the Office of the President and is intended to facilitate a comprehensive technical and forensic audit of the digital platform amid mounting concerns about its infrastructure and operational integrity.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Ministry said the suspension is aimed at preserving the credibility of the National Service process and preventing potential irregularities.
“The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment’s attention has been drawn to emerging concerns surrounding the digital infrastructure currently in use at the National Service Authority (NSA), specifically the Central Management System (CMS) for postings,” the statement said.
“Following the directive from the Office of the President, the use of the CMS has been suspended with immediate effect. This decisive step has been taken in the national interest to allow for a comprehensive technical and forensic review of the platform.”
The Ministry assured stakeholders, particularly prospective National Service personnel, that contingency measures are being put in place to ensure that operations at the NSA continue without major disruption.
It said alternative systems and verification procedures are currently under consideration to maintain transparency and service delivery.
The Ministry also appealed for public patience and cooperation as the review process gets underway.
“We urge all National Service persons and the general public to remain calm and cooperate with the relevant institutions to undertake the necessary actions to safeguard the integrity of the National Service Authority. Further updates will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
