Global social enterprise, IGNITE Social Enterprise, has appointed Ghanaian media entrepreneur Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, to its Global Advisory Board as the company makes its entry into the Sub-Saharan African market.
The appointment, announced on Friday, August 7, 2026, forms part of a broader strategic partnership supporting the company’s expansion across the region, with Ghana identified as one of its frontier markets.
Bola Ray joins an advisory board comprising Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, Dr. Beverly Rubik and Dato Sri Subahan Kamal, whose expertise spans science, governance, business leadership and international visibility.
According to IGNITE, the Global Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance and strengthen the company’s institutional credibility as it pursues responsible international growth.
Bola Ray, who serves as CEO of EIB Network Group and Empire Entertainment, brings more than two decades of experience in broadcasting, entertainment, brand development and business leadership across Africa.

Commenting on his appointment, Bola Ray said young people and micro-entrepreneurs across Ghana and the wider continent were already playing an important role in shaping the future of business, culture and technology.
“What many still need are the practical tools, trusted partners, and global platforms to turn their talent into sustainable opportunity,” he said.
He said IGNITE’s social e-commerce model, combined with its AI-powered learning platform, brAInify, could provide young people and micro-entrepreneurs with opportunities to build brands, earn income and acquire practical skills.
“I am honoured to join the Global Advisory Board and excited to help ensure that this opportunity reaches youth and micro-entrepreneurs in every corner of the continent,” he added.

IGNITE enters the Sub-Saharan African market with a social e-commerce model that combines wellness and lifestyle products with digital learning and entrepreneurship opportunities.
A key component of its offering is brAInify, an AI-powered learning and skills platform designed to help users develop practical digital, business and financial capabilities at their own pace.
The company said its approach aligns with the growing need for skills development and digital participation as Ghana seeks to build a more skills-driven and opportunity-rich economy.
IGNITE said its regional expansion would focus on responsible growth, market education and transparent engagement with stakeholders.
It also pledged to prioritise compliance, consumer protection and collaboration with regulators and public institutions as it establishes operations in Ghana and other Sub-Saharan African markets.

Adly Hassan, Founding Partner at IGNITE Social Enterprise, said the region’s young and entrepreneurial population presented significant opportunities for the company’s model.
“Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the most dynamic regions in the world, with a young, connected population and a powerful culture of entrepreneurship,” he said.
He stressed that the company’s priority was to operate as a “responsible, people-first social ecommerce company” that delivers value to consumers, partners and institutions.
Hassan said IGNITE would focus on providing wellness and lifestyle products, transparent compensation for brand affiliates, compliance, consumer protection and collaboration with regulators.
IGNITE said its Ghana launch reflects its belief that economic empowerment should become more accessible, digital and inclusive.
Through its combination of product access, education and an affiliate opportunity, the company aims to enable more people to participate in the formal and digital economy irrespective of their age, educational background or socio-economic circumstances.
Founded in 2026 and headquartered in Hong Kong, IGNITE Social Enterprise describes itself as a global social enterprise focused on helping micro-entrepreneurs grow their businesses through social commerce.

Its model combines digital tools, training and wellness and lifestyle products under its “Own Your Future” mission, with a focus on financial independence, personal development and professional growth.
