The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, is championing efforts to establish an alternative road linking Adusuazo to Half Assini, the municipal capital of Jomoro in the Western Region.
The proposed road is expected to improve accessibility, reduce travel time and boost economic activities while enhancing the living conditions of residents in Adusuazo and neighbouring communities.

Currently, the driving distance between Adusuazo and Half Assini is approximately 12.4 kilometres, with a journey taking about 33 minutes via Cambodia Street. However, residents reportedly spend several hours travelling to the municipal capital because of the longer route they currently use.
The proposed alternative route is expected to provide a shorter and more convenient connection, offering relief to residents, traders, farmers and other commuters who rely on road transportation to access essential services and conduct their daily activities.
One of the anticipated benefits is improved access to healthcare. Residents of Adusuazo and surrounding communities are expected to reach healthcare facilities in Half Assini more quickly, particularly during medical emergencies.
The road is also expected to reduce transportation difficulties and save commuters valuable time, making movement between the communities and the municipal capital easier.
Beyond improving mobility, the initiative is expected to support commercial activities within the municipality. Farmers, traders and small-scale business owners could benefit from easier transportation of agricultural produce and other goods to markets in Half Assini and surrounding communities.
Improved market access could help reduce transportation challenges, facilitate the movement of goods and create opportunities for residents to expand their businesses.
The proposed road is also expected to contribute to the broader development of Jomoro by improving connectivity between communities and strengthening access to essential services and economic opportunities.

The initiative forms part of efforts championed by Affo-Toffey to improve road infrastructure and promote rural development in the constituency.
Residents are expected to benefit from reduced travel difficulties, improved access to healthcare, enhanced commercial opportunities and stronger connections with the municipal capital when the proposed project is realised.
