Ghana’s ambition to turn its natural gas resources into a stronger engine for industrial growth is taking centre stage at one of the world’s biggest energy gatherings in Abu Dhabi.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company, Judith Adjobah Blay, is leading a high-level company delegation to the 2026 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), where she is expected to make a case for increased investment in the country’s gas infrastructure.
The November 2–5 conference brings together energy industry leaders, policymakers, investors and technology experts to discuss the future of the global energy sector.
For Ghana, however, the engagement goes beyond networking. It presents an opportunity to attract strategic partnerships and investments needed to strengthen the country’s gas infrastructure and translate its natural resources into tangible economic benefits.
At the heart of Ghana Gas’ participation is a high-level discussion on the topic, “From Gas Resources to Industrial Growth: Ghana’s Infrastructure Priorities.”
The discussion will provide Ms. Blay with an opportunity to outline Ghana’s infrastructure needs, showcase the country’s natural gas potential and explore how international partnerships can help address critical investment gaps.
A reliable gas supply remains important to Ghana’s industrial ambitions, particularly in supporting power generation, manufacturing and other productive sectors of the economy.
But achieving this requires more than the availability of natural gas. It also depends on the infrastructure to process, transport and deliver the resource efficiently to industries that need it.
This is where Ghana Gas is seeking to strengthen its position through engagements with global industry players at ADIPEC.
The conference, held under the theme “Performance Under Pressure: Energy Systems in a New Era,” is also expected to explore energy security, infrastructure resilience, technological innovation and sustainable industrial development.
Ghana Gas says its participation forms part of efforts to deepen international cooperation, identify viable investment opportunities and adopt technologies that can improve operational efficiency and strengthen the reliability of the national gas network.
The broader objective is to ensure that Ghana derives greater economic value from its natural gas resources while positioning the energy sector as a key driver of industrialisation and economic transformation.
