The Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly under the leadership of the MCE, George Cyril Bray has donated items to persons with disability within the municipality.
The program which was organized by the Social Welfare and Community Development Department (SWCD) of the Assembly is the second of its kind to be organized this year.
Items worth about Ghc90,000 including freezers, industrial sewing machines, grinding machines, baking ovens, desktop computers and provisions among other items were donated to these individuals.
In total, about Ninety (90) persons with disability have benefited from the program thus far.
The SWCD has registered about 140 persons with disability within the Municipality and is looking forward to registering more members.
According to the assembly, the gesture was in line with its vision as an Assembly to empower these individuals.
The program was held at the Old Assembly premises, Gbegbeyise Basic school.
