The competition had support from a number of firms, including Tang Hang Hotel, Frencia, Micasso, Main land Hotel, and MDV, among others.

In the amateur category of the same competition, Jan Vogel and Helen Appah were triumphant in the senior, while Juliet Darkwah and Charity Vogel lost the first spot to Hajia Zenabu Sulemana in the ladies group B division. Toni JC Bakawa beat the likes of Kevin Amedoh and Kojo Acheampong in the men’s group B event.

Phindo Mohlala Pamela Ewoenam Atila and Letitia Amponsah-Mensah were the first three finishers respectively in the ladies group A whiles Patrick Mensah bagged in 68 netscore ahead of Solomon Allotey and Percival Amponsah for the main men’s trophy of the amateurs competition.

In an interview, Captain of the PGA, John Mawuli Nyarko, expressed his excitement about the success of the tournament and thanked the golfers, sponsors, and the other organizing team.

He urged the golfers, especially the pros to remain disciplined, continue with their daily practice sessions at their various clubs and be ready for the Giti Tyres President Putter golf championship which will be staged at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono.
