The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and Institutional support by donating 3 water pumps and boosters to the Regional Police Training School at Kenyasi in the Ahafo Region. The equipment is expected to significantly enhance water supply within the school, improve sanitation (hygiene) and daily activities for both trainees and staff.
At a brief handing over ceremony held at the training school, ADB Assistant Area Manager in charge of Bono and Ahafo regions, Kwabena Oppong expressed the bank’s unwavering commitment to National security through logistics support such as this. According to him, the gesture forms part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed at supporting communities and public institutions whose works are critical to national development.
“Today, we are here on behalf of the Agricultural Development Bank to donate water pumps and boosters valued at GHS28,677.00 (Twenty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-Seven Ghana Cedis), to the Regional Police Training School, Kenyasi in support of the work of the school,” the Assistant Area Manager said.
“We believe that this gesture will enhance comfort and facilitate the work of the school,” he added.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the school, the officer commanding the Regional Police Training School, Chief Superintendent Samuel Omari-Anim thanked ADB for the timely intervention. He noted that access to reliable water has been a long standing challenge for the training school, and that the donation would go a long way to addressing the problem.
‘’This generous support from ADB is a clear demonstration of the Bank’s commitment not only to Agriculture and Finance but also to national development and security,’’ he stated.
The Chief Superintendent reaffirmed the readiness of the Ahafo Regional Police Training school to continue to collaborate with benevolent institutions like ADB for national development.
