The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) and Air Algérie Group have signed a Co-operation Framework Agreement aimed at advancing the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” movement.
The agreement, signed in Addis Ababa, reinforces the shared commitment of both institutions to promote the free movement of people, goods, and services across the continent.
According to the statement, the partnership recognises air connectivity as a critical enabler of intra-African mobility, which is central to the successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and broader economic integration efforts across Africa.
Through the collaboration, APN and Air Algérie Group will support initiatives designed to enhance mobility within Africa, facilitate participation in the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) and related platforms, and strengthen trade and cargo movements across the continent.
The Co-operation Framework Agreement also establishes a platform for policy dialogue, capacity building, and advocacy focused on reducing barriers to trade, travel, and economic activity.
The signing underscores what the parties describe as growing momentum behind the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” movement and reflects the resolve of African institutions to translate integration commitments into practical, continent-wide impact.
As part of the initiative, members of the public are being encouraged to sign the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” petition in support of the movement’s vision of a unified African market.
The “Make Africa Borderless Now!” movement advocates for the elimination of barriers to trade, travel, and economic activity in order to unlock Africa’s economic potential and improve the quality of life for Africans on the continent and in the diaspora.
The Africa Prosperity Network is a Pan-African organisation focused on advancing economic integration, sustainable development, and shared prosperity through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
