The building of Christ Apostolic Church branch in Akim Akroso in the Asene Manso Akroso District in the Eastern Region of Ghana has been demolished following court decision on the disputed land.
There has been protracted dispute between the Christ Apostolic Church and Mpaebo Church over the piece of land where the church building was situated.
However the court finally pronounced judgement in favour of Mpaebo Church as rightful owners of the land, after 17 years of legal tussles.
As part of the Judgement, the court ordered for the demolition of the Christ Apostolic Church building.
Excavator was brought to the disputed land Wednesday morning pulling down the entire Church building.
Members of the church thronged the scene wailing about the destruction.
They expresses disappointment and frustration with the Court’s decision, claiming it was unfair and unjust.
“The God we are serving knows what is best which he allows to happen. The ways of God not the ways of man because if it was man, this excavator driver would have dropped dead. The judgement is wrong. This place was waterlogged area which we bought and built on it. A member lamented.

Another disappointed member of Christ Apostolic Church said, “I feel bad that, someone who claim to be a man of God will look on for a Church building to be pulled down. Are we not serving the same God? And you call yourself a Pastor. God will surely punish him. The Church members have toiled to contribute over the years to raise this Church building only for someone to use few minutes to pull it down. It is really troubling.”
