Perseus Mining, BOSTenergies and Stanbic Bank Ghana have joined the African Minerals Policy Forum – Mining in Motion (AMPF–MiM) 2026 as sponsors, supporting efforts to strengthen investment, regional integration and sustainable growth in Africa’s extractive industries.

The three companies will participate in the forum scheduled for October 19 to 21, 2026, in Accra, Ghana, which will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and investors to discuss opportunities to strengthen Africa’s mining value chains.

Under the theme, “One Continent. One Voice on Minerals. Aligning Africa’s Mineral Future,” the forum will focus on the role of reliable energy supply, access to capital and increased mineral production in advancing the continent’s mining industry.

Perseus Mining joins the forum as a Bronze Sponsor, highlighting its operations in West Africa and contribution to gold production and economic activity in its host countries.

The company operates three gold mines in the region: Edikan in Ghana and Sissingué and Yaouré in Côte d’Ivoire. It is also developing the Nyanzaga Gold Project in Tanzania.

According to figures provided, Perseus Mining recorded annual gold production of 404,998 ounces and distributed approximately US$1.19 billion in economic value directly to host-country economies in the 2026 financial year.

BOSTenergies’ sponsorship highlights the link between energy security and mining-sector growth, particularly the importance of reliable petroleum supplies to mining operations across West Africa.

The company supplies petroleum products across Ghana and supports regional markets, including Burkina Faso and Mali.

Mining operations depend on consistent energy supplies for extraction, transportation and processing, making fuel distribution, storage and cross-border trade infrastructure important to sustaining production.

Stanbic Bank Ghana is also supporting the forum, bringing its experience in financing mining operations, indigenous contractors, equipment suppliers and related infrastructure.

In February 2026, Stanbic Bank Ghana and Standard Bank South Africa arranged US$205 million in senior-secured term loan and revolving credit facilities for Engineers & Planners Company Limited, Ghana’s largest indigenous mining contractor.

The financing supports the contractor’s operations and highlights the role of commercial banks in mobilising capital for businesses across the mining value chain.

Organisers say representatives of the three sponsors will join other industry stakeholders at the forum to discuss ways to strengthen the links between mineral production, energy supply and access to finance.

The discussions are expected to explore opportunities for investment, local value addition and regional cooperation as African countries seek to build a more competitive and integrated mining industry.
