The Minister of Energy and Green Transition Hon. Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has inaugurated the new Board of Directors for Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited (PSGL), a subsidiary of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), appointing Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore as Board Chair.
Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited holds a strategic mandate by extracting gold mainly from old tailings and waste ore, ensuring value addition within the mining sector and creating jobs within host communities.

In his remarks, the Hon. Minister charged the Board to approach its work with professionalism, transparency, and urgency.
“The company’s purpose is clear, and its potential is significant. With the right leadership and focus, PSGL can once again become a strong pillar within our natural resources sector”, the minister said.
The newly constituted Board comprises:
- Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore — Chairman
- Kwame Ntow Amoah
- Hajia Amina Adam
- Alhaji Ishaq Dauda

The Minister noted that the collective expertise of the Board members is expected to steer PSGL toward operational recovery, improved efficiency, and long-term profitability after years of dormancy and operational challenges.
