A devastating fire has razed numerous structures in Tulaku, a suburb of Ashaiman in the Greater AccraRegion.
The inferno, which started around 16:30 GMT on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, quickly spread through the densely packed area, destroying several wooden structures.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), a swift deployment of four fire tenders from the Tema Regional Command helped in combating the blaze.
Their efforts have also been complemented by a 20,000-litre water tanker from the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly.
The service reports further that the firefighters have successfully contained the fire.

”Firefighters remain on-scene to carry out damping down operations and prevent any escalation of the situation…,” GNFS stated in a statement released on its Facebook page.
The GNFS has also requested immediate police assistance to control the crowd and traffic on the busy Ashaiman-Tulaku road.
The cause of the fire, however, remains unknown.
