Accra Hearts of Oak have failed to qualify to the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup after Algerian side, JS Saoura thumped them 4-0 in the second leg tie fixture on Sunday evening in Bercher.

The Algierian top-flight team qualified on a 4-2 aggregate to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history.

JS Saoura having dominated the first half of the match scored two goals from the chances created in the first half. Striker for JSS, Abdeljalil Saad broke the deadlock of the game with a collected and calm finish on the 21st minute of the game.

A goalkeeping error from Richard Baidoo gave Oussama Bellatreche an opportunity to extend the lead of the Algerians on the 37th minute. A chance he buried with ease.

Oussama Bellatreche scored his second of the day by netting to increase the tally to 3-0. Samuel Boadu introduced Ibrahim Salifu and Caleb Amankwah in the game with the hope of scoring a goal.

Aimen Lahmri cemented the win for his side after scoring the fourth goal to propel JSS to the group stage of this year’s edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
