The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced that two categories of allowances expected to be paid in November 2025 were not processed due to a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the Department said the challenge affected the timely completion of payroll-related procedures, particularly for stakeholders within the education sector. To prevent further delays in the payment of November salaries for all Government of Ghana workers, the processing of the affected allowances was paused.
The CAGD assured all impacted workers that the issue is being resolved and that the outstanding allowances will be paid alongside the December 2025 salaries on December 18.
“We regret the inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciate your patience,” the statement added.
