Chase Logistics Limited, a leading bulk distributor of petroleum products has been awarded three certificates from the International Standardization Organization (ISO).

The certificates which were presented by Emmanuel Siaw, Business Development and Sales manager of Africa at Det Norske Veritas (DNV) includes; ISO45001 to certify the firm for implementing quality in Occupational health and safety management system, the ISO14001 which also certifies the firm for qualifying the environmental management system and the ISO9001 certificate which approves the firm’s management system.

Speaking at the ISO certificate awarding ceremony held on Friday, November 19, 2021, Mr Siaw said the certification is valid for three years and the firm will be able to renew or qualify for more certificates for meeting international standards in their services.

“This shouldn’t be seen as an achievement on paper but your work being recognized to meet international standards. TFF is qualified because it works in the standards which are globally accepted in the ISO standards in Quality Management Systems.”

“Companies who get these standardizations are able to satisfy their costumers, they are able to prevent accidents. The moment you do this you win credibility in the face of your customers” he added.

According to the Chairman of the ceremony, Mr Yaw Okyere and Group HR Manager of CH Group, the mother company TTF and Chase Logistics, TTF was able to meet the ISO standards after a thorough audit and training sessions.

He said “ISO has standards the firm has to meet,  they gave us the requirement list of things to provide for them, they verified the documents, they had sessions with us, where we had to answer questions to satisfy, whatever issues they had. And then after all this, they went back and did their own assessments and decided to certify TTF certifications. As the leading private depot in Ghana it is only right and appropriate that we work towards international standards to build our potential, but more importantly, to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers to keep us in business.

“So that after the three years, we’ll be able to retain this position and also pursue other international certifications that will make us the leading depot not just in Ghana, but we must aspire to the African level. So there’s a lot of work to be done ahead of us.”

Tema Tank Farm (TTF) is the leading privately-owned petroleum depot in Ghana. As a dominant player in tank storage logistics since 2012, terminal stores and discharges Gasoline, Gasoil and Light Crude Oil are managed by TTF and owned by Chase Logistics, both subsidiaries of CH Group, the terminal has over 120,000cbm of dedicated storage, to consistently meet customer demand.
