The Minister in charge of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced that the findings of the August 6 military helicopter crash will be made public on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The tragic crash claimed the lives of eight senior government officials, including the Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, who was also the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central.
Other victims included Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Limuna Muniru, NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong, NADMO Deputy Director-General Samuel Aboagye, and three crew members.
Mr. Ofosu revealed that the report will first be presented to the National Security Council on Monday, November 10, before being released to the public at a media briefing the following day.
The helicopter, a Z-9 utility model, went off radar on the morning of August 6 while flying from Accra to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
A 30-day investigation board was set up to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash with support by technical advisers from the United States Air Force.
