Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has extended good wishes to the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates across the country.

Approximately 603,328 candidates are scheduled to sit for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) from June 11 to June 18, 2025.

In a message to all the candidates across the country, the Deputy Minister, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, advised the candidates not to engage in any form of examination malpractice.

“Education is not just about passing examinations. It is about becoming confident, responsible, and capable citizens who can help build a better Ghana. So as you enter the exam hall, carry with you not fear, but focus. Trust in what you have learnt. Think clearly, and give your best.”

“Under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the direction of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Ministry of Education is committed to making sure that every Ghanaian child, no matter where they are, has the opportunity to succeed. This commitment includes you.

“You are the reason why we invest in schools. You are the reason why we formulate and implement better policies. You are the future we believe in.”

Dr. Apaak earlier donated Mathematical Sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Builsa South District.

In a statement, the Communication Officer for Builsa South constituency, Adams Immurana Kambara, disclosed that Dr. Apaak donated seven hundred and sixty-five (765) mathematical sets to the education directorate for onward distribution to all candidates in the 25 public Junior High Schools across the district.

“As part of his efforts in improving the performance of candidates and standards of education in the district, the MP, prior to the donation of the mathematical sets, sponsored a mock examination for all the BECE candidates to ensure that they are battle-ready for the upcoming final BECE examination, which starts on the 11th of June, 2025”, he stated.
