Dr. (MH) Williams Anarfi Sarpong honored as Humanitarian and Philanthropic Entrepreneur of the Year

Recognized Ghanaian entrepreneur mogul, and Founder of WASK Group, Dr. (MH) Williams Anarfi Sarpong has been recognized as the Humanitarian and Philanthropic Entrepreneur of the Year at the National Youth Shakers Conclave & Awards (NYSCA) 2025 – Ghana Edition.

The prestigious event took place at the Palms Convention Center at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra, gathering global changemakers committed to shaping a brighter future for the next generation.

The National Youth Shakers Conclave & Awardsis an internationally acclaimed platform that acknowledges leaders transforming communities and industries. With over 103 nominees, Dr. Sarpong’s win reflects his unwavering dedication to philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and social transformation.

This year’s theme, “Appreciation, Legacy, & Succession,” underscored the importance of impactful leadership in fostering a sustainable future. The event featured keynote addresses from notable dignitaries, including: H.E. Johnny Ford – Founder of the World Conference of Mayors (WCM), Dr. Willie Snead III – American football legend turned mentor and coach, Nadine Lowe – The first Black woman in The Bahamas to enter a billion-dollar industry, Senior officials from the World Conference of Mayors, Distinguished business executives, policymakers, and social impact leaders

Dr. Sarpong, a visionary entrepreneur and humanitarian, has made a profound impact through his business and philanthropic ventures. As the CEO of Spintex Medical Center, he has introduced groundbreaking medical technologies in West Africa, including virtual reality therapy, Iteracare therapy, cryotherapy, and thermography.

Beyond healthcare, his investments span real estate, gold trade, and digital innovation, cementing his reputation as a pioneer in Africa’s economic transformation.

Dr. Sarpong’s philosophy extends beyond business success—he is committed to improving lives through philanthropy. His WASK Family Foundation supports thousands of underprivileged individuals annually by providing essential resources:Over 5,000 people receive food, clothing, and financial support every year. Beneficiaries include widows, orphans, street children, and the hearing impaired.

To further empower young entrepreneurs, he launched the 10K Project, an initiative offering funding and mentorship to promising startups struggling with financial barriers.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Sarpong urged young Africans to seize the opportunities before them:

We are not just here to exist; we are here to build, to transform, and to leave a legacy that generations will remember. Africa’s future is in our hands, and we must rise to the occasion.”

About Dr (MH) William S.K Anarfi

Dr. Anarfi’s portfolio of social impact projects includes programs that have provided scholarships for underprivileged students, established community health clinics, and created employment opportunities for thousands in rural Ghana. One of his flagship initiatives, a renewable energy project targeting off-grid villages, has been lauded for its role in improving living conditions while promoting sustainability.

He is the brain behind WASK group of companies & Trash Recycling and Management Organization (TRAMO) Dr. Williams S.K Anarfi is an outstanding Entrepreneur with proven track record of success. He is the Founder and President of WASK Group, one of the most capable andconsequently fastest growing consultancy firms in Ghana.He has a rich and enviable experience in strategic innovation, business strategy and an in-depth expertise in SME advisory service, project financing and development. He was also Pioneer leader of Vida Divina LLC. in Ghana where he helped to improve the financial and health status of over 6,000affiliates in 2017/2018.

A trusted intermediary for The Americas (North, South, Central,The Caribbean) and Africa, it fulfils its mission through a variety of services including public affairs, lobbying, international business and trade, advocacy, regulatory and government relations.

Dr. (MH) Williams Anarfi Sarpong is a distinguished medical herbalist and entrepreneur with a solid academic and professional background in healthcare, strategic management, and leadership.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Herbal Medicine from the College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he successfully completed rigorous coursework and clinical training. His expertise was further solidified through two years of intensive clinical practice, after which he passed his professional qualifying examinations, earning him the title Dr. (MH) conferred by the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC), Ghana’s regulatory body for medical herbalists.

Beyond his medical background, Dr. Anarfi has demonstrated a keen understanding of business strategy and leadership. He holds a Professional Certificate in Strategic Management, equipping him with the skills to drive sustainable organizational growth and innovation. His commitment to continuous professional development has also earned him recognition from international institutions. He holds certificates from Charisma University and the American International Theology University (AITU) as an active member in recognition of his professional standing and demonstrated competence in his field.

As a forward-thinking leader, Dr. Anarfi continues to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medicine, leveraging cutting-edge technology and strategic leadership to revolutionize healthcare in Ghana and beyond.

Dr. Anarfi has established himself as a business networkpersonality. He is also an Honorary Professor of the Academic Union, Oxford UK, an international academic association of over 200 University Chancellors, Scientists and Researchers.He is also certified by American Inter Continental University for pursuing Master Class in Leadership and Management.

He also holds certificate from the department of international cooperation from the People’s Republic of China for undertaking international Training Workshop on Photovoltaic System and Application with Yingli Solar at Baoding, China.

As a health Practitioner, he also has the health of the citizens at heart, thereby setting up WASK Health Services, a Medical Equipment and Pharmaceutical product lines company. He uses the company to organize hepatitis B campaigns (screening and vaccination) in various institutions. This subsidiary has vaccinated over 1,000 people against Hepatitis B, supplied hospital equipment and materials, pharmaceuticalproduction unit and sale of detox tea and other organic products.

His innovative ideas urged him to create WASK A. Limited where different portfolios are handled. Areas of servicesinclude importation and distribution of Agriculture inputs like fertilizer. 

He also specializes in food processing and preservation (Value addition to tuber crops) to avoid wastage and support the country’s and by extension, the continent’s net exports of agricultural produce. The company also specializes in commodities such as cooking oil, sugar, rice among others.

The transport department also specializes in vehicle maintenance products such as tyre sealant, engine oil, brake fluids among others. He is very keen on helping to reduce thehousing deficits in the region, hence an investment in Real Estates.

He initiated the Golden City project in the Ashanti region of Ghana; a smart city project aimed at providing industrial parks, powered with fiber optic connections, renewable energy, fourth and fifth industrialrevolutions platforms for homes and businesses in the heart of the Ashanti region.

He was referred to as the “The Master Networker” in Africa by the Network Marketing Times endorsed by Eric Worre, the industry giant in 2018. He has singlehandedly empowered and inspired; directly, virtually, and indirectly more than 20,000 young people in Africa in 2018 and have currently impacted the total of over 50,000 people worldwide.
