A trailer truck belonging to Kuapa Cocoa Company carrying Cocoa beans has crashed into a School Bus at Suhum killing at least one person.
The accident occurred on the Suhum overpass on the Accra-Kumasi Highways of the Eastern Region.
The trailer with registration number GB 2537-12 crashed the Bus belonging to Hallmark Preparatory school also with registration number ER 2241-12. There were no students in the school bus. The cause of the accident has not been established.
The victim is a mentally challenged person who was loitering at the scene at the time of the crash. He died after he was rushed to the Suhum government Hospital together with drivers of both Vehicles as well as mate of the trailer who sustained severe injuries.
This incident comes on on the back of Similar ones in the Eastern Region over the last few months.

The School Bus with registration number Gv 1251 Z reportedly crashed with a Borehole drilling Machine Vehicle with a registration number GR 4681-16 .
About two weeks ago, a teacher was killed while 56 students of Mangoase SHS were injured when their School Bus crashed along the Oterkpolu to Odumasi Krobo Road.
