EaglePlug, the agency representing acclaimed Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, has announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated performance at the Station Afrique (Africa Fan Zone) event in Paris, originally scheduled for today.
In a statement released earlier, EaglePlug expressed deep regret over the situation, citing the failure of the event’s organizing agency to fulfill contractual obligations as the reason for the cancellation. According to the statement, a contract for Sarkodie’s performance was signed two months ago, but the agency failed to meet the necessary conditions to ensure the artist’s participation.
Despite the setbacks, EaglePlug worked tirelessly to bring Sarkodie and his team to Paris, demonstrating patience and understanding in dealing with the complexities of organizing such a large-scale event. However, repeated assurances from the agency that issues would be resolved upon arrival in Paris were not fulfilled, leaving EaglePlug with no option but to cancel the performance.
Sarkodie, known for his electrifying stage presence and dedicated fanbase, was eager to perform and engage with his supporters in Paris. However, the inability of the organizing agency to honor the agreement led to the last-minute decision to cancel, disappointing many who had been looking forward to the event.
EaglePlug has issued a sincere apology to the fans, acknowledging the disappointment caused by the cancellation and expressing hope for a future performance under better circumstances. The agency also emphasized its commitment to ensuring that such issues are avoided in the future.
This cancellation marks a significant letdown for fans of African music in Paris, who had anticipated Sarkodie’s performance as one of the highlights of the Station Afrique event.
