Ecobank adjudged Bank of the Year

Ecobank has been adjudged the best bank at the 16th Ghana Banking Awards. The bank beat competition from about 30 banks to win the coveted prize.

This is the Eighth Bank of the year award since the commencement of the initiative.

Ecobank’s digital banking products are said to have been the main factors that led to the bank maintaining its strong financial standing.

Ecobank also took home the Best Bank in Corporate Social Responsibility as well as Best Financial Performer for the year.

Head of Legal, Human Resources and Compliance at Ecobank, Morgan Asiedu believes the devoted and well-motivated staff won the award for the bank.

According to organizers of the awards – Corporate Initiative Ghana – the awards was based on a careful assessment of the published financial results of the banks that participated.
