EIB Network’s Francisca Dickson Arhin up for 2021 IFEJ award

GHOne TV’s business reporter Francisca Dickson Arhin has been shortlisted for the 2021 edition of the annual business and financial journalism awards by the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ).

The awards’ scheme, dubbed ‘Flamingo Awards,’ was instituted to reward business and financial journalists and editors for their good and high-quality coverage in the area of business and finance.

The affable and hardworking Ms Arhin faces competition from other nominees to win the prestigious award.

Ms. Arhin is a 3- time IFEJ Award winner, 2020 Ghana Energy Reporter of the Year, recognized by OFAB for her consistent reportage on Agricultural Biotechnology and has received several nominations.

Other potential winners shortlisted by a five-member Jury under the chairmanship of Professor John Gatsi for the various categories are;

1. Edward Adjei-Frimpong (BnFT)

2. Ama Achiaa Amankwah Baafi (Graphic Business)

3. Masahudu Ankiilu Kunateh (The African Eye Report)

4. Emmanuel Bruce (Graphic Business)

5. Kingsley Asare (Ghanaian Times)

6. Maclean Kwofie (Graphic Business)

7. Francisca Dickson Arhin (GHOne TV)

8. Kester Korankye (Graphic Business)

9. Adnan Adams (Economic Times)

10. Kizito Cudjoe (BnFT)

The event is slated for Friday, February 25, 2022, and will be on the theme “The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Business Resilience and Recovery in the Ghanaian Economy.”

The 2021 Awards is partnered by the World Bank Group, the Ghana Stock Exchange, MTN, Accra Brewery Limited and Melcom Group. Others are Bulk Oil and Transportation Storage (BOST), Stanbic Bank, and Vivo Energy Ghana.

The institute advances the study, development and application of improved financial and economic communication methods through appropriate hands-on approaches and platforms.
