The final day of the 2025 Super Volleyball Championship delivered a surprising twist as El Wak Wings stunned Police Women to claim the bronze medal.

It was a disappointing outcome for the Police side, who had topped Pool A in the group stages and entered the day as favorites. El Wak quickly set the tone by dominating the opening set, winning by a 25-point margin.

Police’s number 6 opened the second set with the first serve and later secured their team’s first point, but the Wings responded with a quick three point lead. This prompted Police coach Chapnuot Eden to make a tactical substitution. The set also featured a heated moment when El Wak’s bench protested a rotational foul, sparking loud reactions from the auditorium. Play continued intensely for nearly two minutes without the ball touching the floor and Police eventually edged the set 30–28.

They carried the momentum into the third set, winning it with 25 points to take a 2–1 lead.
At the start of the fourth set, El Wak Wings switched coaching roles, bringing Edem in for Laud, a move that immediately shifted the team’s energy. The Wings regained full control, winning both the fourth set and the decisive fifth set, sealing their comeback with a 15-point finish.
Onyegwu Verity, number 10 shirted player for The Wings earned the MVP award for her outstanding performance throughout the match.

The men’s division also delivered drama, as the Prisons Service volleyball team rallied from behind to edge out the Airforce men in a fierce five set battle to secure the bronze medal.
