Francine Koffi, popularly known as Fantana, founder of Youth Environment Services, an environmental NGO, has commended the Government of Ghana, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), and ECHT Environmental Services Limited (ECHT) on the successful launch of Ghana’s Online Continuous Emission Monitoring System (GOCEMs).
“This pioneering system is a major step forward in our nation’s efforts to monitor and reduce pollution”, noted Fantana. By providing real-time data, GOCEMs will greatly improve our ability to safeguard the environment, hold polluters accountable, and promote sustainable industrial practices across Ghana today.
“I am proud to see Ghana leading the way in environmental innovation, and I believe this initiative will have a lasting positive impact on our health, our communities, and our natural resources.”
GOCEMS was launched in Accra on 29th July 2025 by the Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Prof. Nana Ama Brown Klutse.
“Let’s continue to work together for a cleaner, greener Ghana”, is Fantana’s message to the youth of Ghana.
Fantana is a popular musician and star of Netflix “Young, Famous and African”. Through her NGO, Youth Environment Services, she aims to educate and inform the youth on environmental issues and influence behavioral change among the youth to help protect the environment.
