Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has engaged traders at Takoradi as part of his stakeholder consultations ahead of the presentation of the 2026 Budget.

Dr. Forson described the engagement as one of the highlights of his working visit to the Western Region, saying the conversations with traders were “both humbling and inspiring.
“It was clear that our efforts to stabilise the economy are beginning to bear fruit,” the Minister said after the interaction. “Many spoke of easing prices, renewed confidence, and a growing sense that the tide is finally turning in their favour.”

The Minister explained that the meeting formed part of government’s broader consultation process to ensure that the 2026 Budget reflects the realities, hopes, and expectations of ordinary Ghanaians.

Dr. Forson is scheduled to present the 2026 Budget Statement to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025, where he is expected to outline the government’s fiscal priorities, job creation strategies, and social intervention plans for the year ahead.
