Ghana Swimming Association secures $25,000 boost from World Aquatics for 2026 programmes

Funding to support athlete development, training, and international competitions.

The Ghana Swimming Association (GSA) is pleased to announce that it has secured a total allocation of USD 25,000 from World Aquatics under the World Aquatics Support Programme 2026.

This support is in recognition of GSA’s continued commitment to the growth and development of aquatic sports in Ghana.

The allocation is directed towards key athlete-focused and institutional development initiatives throughout the 2026 calendar year.

The funding will support the implementation of the following strategic programmes:

Water Polo Workshop for coaches
Management of Federation
Anti-Doping Education
Competing at a continental championship
Participate at regional events

The Ghana Swimming Association expresses its sincere appreciation to World Aquatics for this invaluable support and continued collaboration in advancing aquatic sports development.

The Association remains committed to ensuring the effective and transparent utilisation of these resources while strengthening the overall ecosystem of aquatic sports in the country
