Ghana has been named the host nation for both the 2025 Technology Information Confederation (TICON) Africa and the African Marketing Confederation (AMC) Conference. This was announced at the climax of this year’s well-attended TICON Africa and AMC Marketing Forum in Mombasa, Kenya. As the third edition of AMC and the second edition of TICON Africa, both conferences were well-attended and highly engaging.

The 2024 AMC, held under the theme, ‘Brand Resilience Amidst Economic Uncertainty’ offered detailed explorations into various brand resilience strategies that left all in attendance with the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully spearhead their marketing efforts across the continent.

For TICON Africa 2024, held under the theme ‘Advancing ICT Solutions for Sustainable Development in Africa’, this year’s TICON Africa explored topics such as cybersecurity, data privacy challenges, AI in healthcare, harnessing the power of AI and big data for African development among others.

Executive Secretary for Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, Kwabena Agyekum, who is also Vice President of AMC for West Africa, expressed delight in the selection of Ghana as the host country for the next conference. “We are more than excited to be hosting the next one. We have seen Entebbe-Uganda and Mombasa-Kenya and we are ready to take it a notch higher. We welcome all of Africa and the world to the 2025 AMC and TICON Africa conferences”.

President of TICON Africa, David Gowu, who is also the Executive Director of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) expressed his excitement in leading the team to the country. “As the President of TICON Africa and a proud Ghanaian, I am honoured to lead the organisation of this prestigious event in our beautiful country. Ghana definitely has a lot to offer and we cannot wait to show the rest of Africa and the world what they are missing,” he said.

The African Marketing Confederation is the ground-breaking Pan African body of marketing professionals spearheading the ongoing development of the highest possible standards of marketing across Africa.

Founded in 2011, the AMC is a leading collaboration between the African national marketing member bodies and associations to exchange expertise and information, and to promote the marketing profession as a whole.  By unifying the bodies in the various countries, the AMC is positioned to exchange expertise and information, provide intellectual capital and to ensure that the continent has platform for like-minded marketing professionals at the highest level.

TICON Africa serves as a unifying platform for ICT professionals, promoting excellence through education, networking, and collaboration. After a successful edition in Kenya, next year’s conference promises to be another impactful one, bringing together top industry minds to explore the future of ICT on the continent.

TICON Africa is an umbrella body that brings together ICT professionals from all over Africa. It is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of excellence in the field of technology by fostering education, networking, and collaboration among our members. It believes that by working together, it can create a better future for all Africans. TICON Africa is committed to building a strong, vibrant community of ICT professionals who are passionate about using technology to improve people’s lives.
