GPL Week 27: Aduana pip WAFA as All Stars beat Hearts

Aduana Stars edges closer to winning their second Ghana Premier League title following their 1-0 win over WAFA on Match day 27 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Wednesday.

Derrick Sassraku, glancing header beat goalkeeper Richmond Ayi at his near post in the 55th to register the only goal of the match.

League contenders, Hearts of Oak failed to repeat their 2-1 dosage to WA All Stars as they overturned the same scoreline against today at the WA Park.

Hearts scored the only goal through Samudeen Ibrahmim in the 51st and Robin Gnagne conceded an own goal and later David Abagna converted a spot kick to end proceedings by 2-1.

In other matches:

Tema Youth failed to take advantage as host  and are now in danger of being relegated after slipping to shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Elmina Sharks.

Great Olympics boosted their slim hopes of survival after defeating relegated side Bolga All Stars by 4-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.Ebusua Dwarfs raced from a goal down to beat Inter Allies 3-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium to boost their survival chances.

Meanwhile, the two matches that will played tomorrow will see the Porcupine Warriors take on Ashantigold in the Ashanti Regional derby whilst Medeama will lock horns with relegation threatened side Liberty Professionals at the T and A Park.
