Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has been discharged from the 37 Military Hospital after receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a road traffic accident.
In a statement on Saturday, February 14, the Office of the Minister said Mr. Iddrisu “has been discharged from the 37 Military Hospital” and is “in good spirits.”
The release noted that the Minister “has been advised to rest as part of his recovery,” while thanking the medical team and the public for their support.
“The Minister expresses sincere gratitude to the medical team and all who offered prayers and support,” the statement, signed by Press Secretary Hashmin Mohammed, said.
Mr. Iddrisu was hospitalised after a convoy carrying him and Deputy Communications Minister Adam Sukparu was involved in a crash on February 12 on the Bolgatanga–Tumu highway in the Upper East Region while they were travelling on official government business.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
