Heath Goldfields Ltd. has received a new fleet of mining equipment to support the reopening and transformation of the Bogoso–Prestea Gold Mine, as part of efforts to build a modern and sustainable mining operation.
The company announced the arrival of the equipment through its partnership with Fridoug Company Limited, which is supporting operations at the mine.
According to Heath Goldfields, the new fleet includes Komatsu 785 haul trucks, along with excavators, dozers, loaders and other key mining equipment expected to strengthen mining activities at the site.
The company said the additional equipment will significantly enhance operational capacity at the Bogoso–Prestea Mine by improving the movement of ore and waste materials while supporting safer and more efficient mining operations.
Heath Goldfields indicated that the development reflects the level of investment being made to restore the mine and return it to its position as one of Ghana’s important gold-producing assets.
The company also highlighted its partnership with Fridoug Company Limited as part of its commitment to working with Ghanaian contractors to strengthen local participation in the mining sector and create value across the mining supply chain.
According to Heath Goldfields, the new fleet will play a critical role in helping the company meet its production targets and accelerate the full revival of the Bogoso–Prestea Gold Mine.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to investing in partnerships, equipment and human resources to ensure the mine delivers long-term benefits for employees, surrounding communities and the country.
