Journalists tour QNET Head Office in Malaysia

Journalists from leading and reputable Ghanaian media organisations, at an online media webinar on 10th October, 2024, shared testimonials about their positive experiences of the Head Office of QNET in Malaysia and QNET’s global convention, VCON, in the island of Penang, also in Malaysia.

The Senior Legal Counsel of QNET for sub-Saharan Africa, Naana Quartey explained that the media webinar was designed to help the media familiarise with the brand, know its business model, products and the efforts it is making in fighting misrepresentation and scams. “We are making it possible for those who have attended our annual global VCON in Malaysia to share their experience, first-hand with you. As part of our media engagement commitment, we continue to organise special media junkets to enable journalists from Sierra Leone, Senegal, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria to witness and experience QNET at our global conference in Malaysia. These journalists have seen and experienced everything about our company and they are in a very informed position to retell the wonderful story of their positive encounter with QNET.”

The latest Ghanaian journalist to visit the QNET Head Office and attend the VCON in Malaysia is a senior journalist and Editor from Ghanaweb, Ghana’s most visited news portal. He summarised his encounter thus: “In the past, when I heard about QNET, it was always about a negative news or another. But, over the last 2 or 3 years, I started getting some positive contents in the form of press releases spelling out the challenges QNET was facing and how it was fighting to clear its name and regain its reputation.”

“So, when the opportunity to travel to the Head Office of QNET came, I embraced it as a fact-finding mission. I must say that I was overwhelmed with positivity I encountered and witnessed. I experienced the true QNET and it was different from anything I had ever heard about the company. I strongly believe that QNET is a legitimate business that is unfortunately bedevilled with misrepresentation.”

“For the first time, I saw and held QNET’s array of amazing wellness and lifestyle products. These are products with world-class quality and certifications. I also witnessedQNET’s VCON where more than 8,000 people gathered under the same electrifying roof to celebrate direct selling, share experiences, learn from seasoned professionals and marketers and to renew their personal goals and visions. I had the opportunity interact with and quiz corporate leaders of QNET.”

These seasoned journalists, including editors from the Daily Graphic, Ghanaweb, myjoyonline, Ghananewsonline, Business and Financial Times and others, visited the Head Office of QNET and attended the VCON in Malaysia between 2022 and 2024. They agreed in unison that QNET is a legitimate wellness and lifestyle direct selling company that is unfairly facing challenges of misrepresentation in Ghana and some other parts of West Africa.

In conclusion, Ms Quartey reiterated: “We continue to commit a lot of resources to our stakeholder and media engagement process. From 2022 till date, we have hosted four batches of journalists from Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin at the VCON in Malaysia. In some countries, we are implementing 360-degree public and media education campaigns such as the “QNET Against Scams” and the “Say No” to help everyone understand QNET’s business model better and to be able to identify and report scam. We thank you for your support and we urge you to continue to join us as we commit more time, resources and efforts to winning the fight against misrepresentation and misuse of the QNET brand.”
