The Member of Parliament for Buem and Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, has inspected ongoing construction works on a three-unit preschool classroom block being put up for the Teteman SDA School at Teteman.
The project forms part of efforts to address longstanding challenges facing early childhood education in the community. For several years, children particularly those at the preschool level have studied without proper classrooms, a situation that discouraged many parents from enrolling their wards in school and affected participation in the formal education system.
According to Hon. Kofi Adams, he took notice of the situation shortly after the NDC won political power two years ago and made a commitment to provide a suitable learning environment that would rekindle interest in education among young children in Teteman.
Inspecting the project site, the MP disclosed that the three-classroom block is currently at the lintel stage and, when completed, will serve as an ultra-modern preschool facility. He explained that the structure will be designed with colourful paintings and child-friendly features aimed at attracting children, making learning enjoyable, and encouraging regular school attendance.

He commended Hon. Kofi Adams for responding to the needs of the people and pledged the continued support of the traditional leadership to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Hon. Kofi Adams reaffirmed his commitment to improving education at all levels, noting that quality early childhood education remains critical to building a strong foundation for future learning. He expressed optimism that the new facility will boost enrollment, restore parents’ confidence in the education system, and enhance teaching and learning outcomes in Teteman.

Community members and school authorities welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, and expressed hope that the project will be completed within schedule.
