Swedru All Blacks UFC Communications Manager Nathaniel Obeng Issues Retraction and Apology to Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom over Division One League Match Incident
The game’s aftermath was overshadowed by incidents of hooliganism, with some fans attacking the referee.
In an interview, Obeng claimed that Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom entered the field to intimidate the referee following a penalty decision against Elmina Sharks.
According to Obeng, Nduom told the referee to reverse the decision, or he would instruct the Elmina Sharks players to leave the pitch.
However, Obeng has now withdrawn his statement and issued an apology, stating that he had no intention of damaging Nduom’s reputation.
In a letter to Dr. Nduom’s legal representatives, Obeng clarified his statement, retracting his claim that Dr. Nduom entered the pitch to threaten the referee and directed players to leave in protest of a penalty decision.
